Dad, I am sooo numb, I feel so empty, alone & just like my heart is broken into a million pieces. I feel lost & devastated. I wonder how I will be able to continue on without you. You were my childhood hero & you taught me so much. The biggest value was the love you showed me, the compassion you gave to others even up to the very end. Dad, so many people loved you, but I loved you so deep within my heart that my heart just seems like it can't be fixed. I just give thanks, praise & glory that God brought you through those golden gates with no more pain, suffering, tests, & agony or going through everything you had to endure. You were a pillar of strength, such a fighting warrior who fought a big battle & you have finally won that battle. I give thanks to God for providing me the opportunity to help take care of you in your final days. It was such an honor & privilege to be by your side every single second as you took your journey home to be with Jesus. I have absolutely NO regrets & have a clear mind & heart that I could be there with you & my sisters. I give thanks for the blessing of having my sisters sticking together as we cared for you to make your wish to be home come true. Dad, as you already know, you had the best NURSE who was filled with so much compassion, was gentle with you, was there for every need you had, made sure you were freshen up each day, made you comfortable, and held to your dignity & kept each request & promise you wanted. Our family was so blessed & fortunate to have our sister Gladys Miley Rosenberry as your personal nurse. Dad, you were a shining light for Jesus & this is NOT a good bye & as I echoed during the many prayers I said over you this is just the beginning for you & I pray you will be the one to open the pearly gates when I come home to be with you. I love you forever & ever dad, with all my heart. RIP.

Lynn Trutt

Really going to miss the "stops" along my walking route. There was always a smile and great conversation waiting in the chair outside the garage. Shirley, you are going to have to keep up the tradition. Praying for the entire family. Lynn Trutt
