Obituary

William Lamont Musser, 78, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, January 5, 2019. Born August 1, 1940, in Lewisburg, PA, was the son of the late Eugene Lamont Musser and Ruth Shiffer Musser Dewire.
Mr. Musser earned both his Bachelor of Education and Masters of Education and Reading degrees from Shippensburg University. He had a love and passion for animals; however, he was well known for his “show quality chickens”. He was a teacher for 32 years, serving the Waynesboro Area School District his entire career, retiring in 1994.
Surviving is his loving wife of 57 years, Sondra McNew Musser, whom he met while in college and married on August 5, 1961: two sons, Steven William Musser (wife Sylvia) and Douglas Lamont Musser (wife Casey Jackson); and two grandchildren, Bronson and Rena Musser.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 11 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rouzerville, 12043 Old Route 16, Rouzerville, PA 17250, where Pastor Pam Illick will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church at the above address. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Rd, Waynesboro, PA 17268. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA

Dear Musser Family, I am so sorry for your loss. When we lose a love one in death it is never easy. During this difficult time may your family find comfort in Gods word the Bible that soon we will see our love ones again. -John 5:28,29

We are so sorry for your loss. When this happens in our family we need more than human strength. God and his Son can provide what we need. Please review these scriptures : John 5:28-29 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
