Adelbert J. “Curly” Dibble, 75, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Monday morning, January 8, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 24, 1942 in New York, he was a son of the late Roger and Memorial Dibble. He served with the US Army for more than twenty years prior to his retirement. Following his retirement from military service he was employed for ten years at Letterkenny Army Depot. Curly was a member of Harry D. Zeigler Post 6319 VFW in Greencastle, Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, and Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 41, both in Chambersburg. He enjoyed fishing and target shooting.
He is survived by his wife, Hong Soon Dibble, whom he married February 16, 1988; a sister, Mari D. Tasca; and two brothers, David Dibble and Bill Dibble.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA where members of the Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard will conduct military honors. A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 PM Friday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
