Adin Ebersole

March 1, 1929 — January 19, 2018

Adin R. Ebersole, age 88, of Chambersburg, PA, went to his heavenly home with his family at his side on Friday, January 19, 2018. Born March 1, 1929 in Chambersburg he was a son of the late Harry L. and Rosetta M. Wadel Ebersole.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Ebersole served honorably from 1954 – 1956, he continued his service at Letterkenny Army Depot for 33 ½ years, retiring in 1988. In his early years, Mr. Ebersole worked on a dairy farm and also worked as a truck driver for Charles Karper Trucking. He was a member of the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren and Searchers Sunday School Class, VFW Post 1599, and the Franklin County Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed going to car shows, where he would show his 1957 Pontiac Chieftan. Most important to him was his family and time spent with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda Nelson Ebersole, whom he married on June 28, 1958; two children, Tenni M. Pyles (husband Phillip) of Chambersburg, PA and Thomas D. Ebersole (wife Kimm) of Villanova, PA; three grandchildren, Rayanne Garnes (husband Zachary) and Cole and Ross Ebersole; two siblings, Norman Ebersole (wife Janet) of Ohio and Mary Catherine Martin (husband Clair) of Cearfoss, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Ramer and two brothers, Paul and Harry L. Ebersole, Jr.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 9:15 AM in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will follow the interment 11 AM at the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, 260 S. Fourth St., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Joel Naugle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 6-8 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service at the above church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Good Samaritan Fund at the above church and address.
