Alma Foreman

Alma D. Foreman, 80, of Chambersburg, PA, died at 7:36 AM Saturday, July 16, 2011 in the emergency room of Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 3, 1930 in Ft. Loudon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Walter W. and Margaret E. Hays Starliper. She was employed at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida and Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg. She was a member of the Hume-McNeil-Byers AMVETS Post 224 Ladies Auxiliary and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #842 Ladies Auxiliary, both in Chambersburg. Alma and her husband Dean enjoyed spending a great deal of time at their cabin in North Bend, Clinton County, PA and were avid campers, camping in the 48 contiguous states and parts of Canada. They also enjoyed hosting many parties for family and friends over the years. Alma was an avid reader.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dean S. Foreman, whom she married October 28, 1950; three children, Regina Parson and husband Fred of Big Cove Tannery, Cinda Shanteau and husband Jim and Wendy Wilborn and husband Tony, all of Melbourne, FL; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Alma is also survived by a brother, James R. Starliper of Marion, PA and Judith K. Starliper of Fannettsburg, PA.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday July 21, 2011 at 10:00AM at Norland Cemetery. Rev. Laura Minnella will officiate.

Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
