Andrew Kenneth “Ken” Lahaza, age 67, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born November 15, 1953, in Northumberland, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew K. and Kathleen Starr Lahaza.
Ken was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School. He was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot for 21 years, until their staff reduction. He then went to work as a Truck Driver until his retirement. He enjoyed boating and camping at Lake Raystown, fishing, taking wine tours, and riding motorcycles. His most cherished time was spent with family and his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Teresa Ausherman Lahaza, whom he married August 21, 1993, a son, Justin M. Lahaza (wife Jessica) of Waynesboro, PA; two grandsons, Noah and Isaiah Lahaza; his mother-in-law, Sally Ausherman of Frederick, MD; and brother and sister-in-law, Don and Kim Johnson of Frederick, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carroll Ausherman.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, form 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd.
