Ann Bonacci, 84, formerly of Fayetteville, PA, died Wednesday evening, November 9, 2011 at The Village of Laurel Run. Born April 8, 1927 in Dickson City, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Owens Evans. She was the owner of the former Ann’s Fabric Center in Chambersburg. An accomplished seamstress, she especially loved creating her “old time Santas”. She loved to sing, do yard work, and swing on her porch with her dog. Her beloved husband, Anthony J. Bonacci, preceded her in death on December 14, 1996.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda A. Woodring and husband Doug of Chambersburg; her granddaughter Taylor Woodring; her nephew, Daniel DelGuercio of Colorado, whom she and her husband raised; her beloved dog Sophia; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters, Catherine DelGuercio of Scranton, PA and Martha Coviello of Florida; and a brother, Thomas Evans of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel McMahon and Elizabeth Clark, and a brother, Harold Evans.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, November 28, 2011 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Chaplain Ken Reid will officiate. Interment will be private. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
