Anna Gibbons

Anna H. Gibbons, age 89, of Concord, PA; passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Manor Care Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA. Born October 1, 1922 in Doylesburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Elizabeth Shields Yocum.
A press operator at the former Stanley Co. in Chambersburg, she dedicated 27 years. Mrs. Gibbons was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher for a number of years and was a member of the Ladies Aide Society, where she served as Treasurer for a number of years.
Surviving is her daughter, Virginia Hockenberry (husband David) of Dry Run, PA; three grandchildren, Douglas and Darryl O’Donnell and Melody Mangold; four great grandchildren, Kevin, Kody, Klinton and Alicia O’Donnell; and three great-great grandchildren, Syvilla, Melanie, and Jacob O’Donnell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenza Gibbons on January 5, 1989 and five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 1 PM in the Agett-Geisel funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, PA, with Rev. Susan Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Concord Union Cemetery.
