Anna Marie Hock, age 78, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at her home. Born in Chambersburg, PA on February 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Roy W. and Dorothy Mae Wolf Gilbert.
A 1955 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Mrs. Hock was a member of the first graduating class from CASHS. She retired on January 9, 2002, after dedicating 30 years to driving a school bus for the Chambersburg Area School District. She was a member of The Open Door Church, where she enjoyed the Jolly 60’s. She also enjoyed volunteering, and playing the organ. Mrs. Hock always held a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs.
Surviving is her son, Richard K. Hock (wife Debra) of CO, daughter, Karen J. Bard of PA, and Daughter-in-law, Tammie Hock; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Hock, whom she married on October 21, 1956, a son, Kevin Hock, two siblings, Judith E. and Wayne K. Johnson, and he son-in-law, Jay C. Bard.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015, at 11 AM at the Cold Spring United Brethren Church, 1051 Brookens Rd., Fayetteville, PA. Pastor Kevin Davis will officiate. Interment will be private in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Central PA, 3001 Old Gettysburg Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
