Anna Scutchall

Anna Mae Freiwald Scutchall, age 90, formerly of Greenvillage, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Providence Place of Chambersburg. Born on March 24, 1922 in Johnstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Friewald. She was married to Merrill Simon Scutchall on August 3, 1977. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2012.

Anna retired as a senior analyst from the National Labor Relations Board in Washington DC, and she was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by a son, Robert Norris and wife, Sandy, of Colorado; a daughter, Mary Miller of New Mexico; her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are her dear friends and neighbors, Chester and Dorothy Grove, and Harold Kennedy.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Family and friends will then proceed to Norland Cemetery, where graveside services will begin at 11 AM, with Rev. Fr. James R. O’Brien officiating.
