Anna Thomas

Anna Marie Thomas, age 86, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born in Mont Alto, PA on September 13, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William and Maude Shower Slaybaugh.
A seamstress and homemaker most of her life, she worked at the Stanley Company for a number of years, and then continued working as a homemaker in her home. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and working around the house.
Surviving is her husband of 65 years, James L. Thomas, whom she married on November 9, 1946; her son, James W. “Jim” Thomas of Fayetteville, PA, a grandson, Cameron W. Thomas of Fayetteville, PA, and two siblings, Dorothy Slaybaugh and Mary Small.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Pastor Matthew Plant will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Monday.
