Anthony “Tony” Michael Koziar, age 38, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly at the Chambersburg Hospital on Saturday, March 25, 2017. Born July 19, 1978, in East Liverpool, OH, he was the son of R. Bruce Koziar (wife Mary) and Shirley A. Muscari Bishop and the late Keith Bishop of Shippensburg, PA.
Tony was a graduate of ITT Technical School. He was a board member for AYSO and also a member of a local softball league. An avid sports fan, Tony loved everything Pittsburgh; he was also an Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Tony enjoyed coaching soccer, playing softball going to Pittsburgh Sporting events, and fantasy football.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tiffany N. Ewald Koziar; two sons, Andrew M. and Alexander G. Koziar; three siblings, Catherine Steffler of New Orleans, LA, Sheryl L. Rose (husband Dan) of Shippensburg, PA, and Kristine Koziar of Alexandria, VA; his maternal grandmother, Frances Muscari of East Liverpool, OH; and his in-laws, John A. II and Patricia L. Ewald of Hanover, PA and brother-in-law, John Ewald III.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Doug Coldsmith will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
