Arthur Brown

Arthur F. “Bud” Brown, age 90, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 9, 1929 in Terre Haute, IN, he was the son of the late Arthur and Evelyn Burton Brown.

Bud served honorably in the United States Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. He worked as a commercial contractor for many years. He was a member of the William Penn Lodge #19 F&AM, Al Malaiah Shrine, a life member at the American Legion Post #15, Young at Hart Tennis Club, and National Building Contractors. He attended St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Bud is survived by his devoted partner, Shirley Hudson; children Terry Brown (wife Noreen), Renee Brown, and Karen Shrewsbury, all of California; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Moore.

A Celebration of Life service for Bud will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Caroline E. Saxton will officiate. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service in the church.
