Arthur "Sonny" Joseph Knepper

Arthur J. “Sonny” Knepper, 84, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 26, 1940 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Harry J. and Mildred E. Eberly Knepper.

Sonny was employed as a delivery driver for Pepsi Co. until his retirement. He was a member of New Franklin Assembly of God. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting NASCAR memorabilia, hunting, fishing, horse pulls, and cars shows. Sonny was a dedicated family man and enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Marie E. Wagner Knepper, whom he married on October 17, 1964; his son, Kevin Knepper and wife Bobbie of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Steven Frazier and wife Jodi and Taylor Knepper; and six great grandchildren, Jasmine, Brock, Titus, Canaan, Eleanor and Savanna Frazier. Aside from his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy Frazier; two sisters, Evelyn Gossert and Trudy Sites; and one brother, Harry Knepper.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at New Franklin Assembly of God, 2355 New Franklin Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Nathaniel Knoll will officiate.
