Audrey Hallowell

Audrey K. Hallowell, age 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at Manor Care Health Services on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Born in Hagerstown, MD on January 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Irene L. Bowers Snyder.
An avid genealogist, Mrs. Hallowell traced her ancestors for many generations. She was a homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed quilting, antiquing, making Teddy Bears, and raising goats. An avid puzzle solver, she enjoyed completing crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, and Scrabble.
Surviving is her daughter, Debra Kaminski (husband Donald) of Pittsburgh, PA and seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two siblings, Winnie Stouffer of Waynesboro, PA and Ed Snyder of Hagerstown, MD. In addition, she is survived by her companion, David Behling. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Hallowell on December 25, 1996.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Beaver Creek Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD; where Pastor S. Dwight Morgan will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
