She worked at Plasterer's Florist in the growing department of the business as the seed planter for the many annuals they produced from 1958 until her retirement. She married Lowell Brake Plasterer on May 5, 1957 at First Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.

Pauline's interests during her life included planting and tending her flower beds, camping with the pop-up trailer, taking car drives, walking mountain trails, biking on the C&O Canal and sewing.
