Barbara Eline

Barbara J. Eline, age 79, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away in her son’s home on October 9, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hagerstown, Maryland, on March 9, 1936, to the late Clark and Mildred Herr Patterson. She graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the class of 1954, where she was a majorette with the school marching band. Barbara worked for several accounting firms as bookkeeper, before taking a bookkeeper position with Frank B. Lesher Electrical Company, where she worked for over 30 years. Upon retirement from Lesher’s Electrical Company in 1996, she continued to work as bookkeeper for Sam’s Flooring for many years.
She greatly enjoyed traveling, attending the sports activities of her grandchildren, playing bingo, spending time at The Villages in Florida, and shopping with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard D. Eline; her son, William L. Sensenderfer (wife Terry) of Chambersburg; her brother, Lawrence Patterson (wife Carol) of Brookville, FL; two granddaughters, Kimberly Sensenderfer of Chambersburg and Brandy Sensenderfer of Big Pine Key, FL; and one grandson, William Sensenderfer II, attending Lock Haven University. She is also survived by a great granddaughter, Jaslynn Soto. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by several close uncles and aunts.
A Funeral Service to honor her life will be held at 5 PM on Tuesday, October 13, in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with viewing rom 3-5 PM. Pastor Mike Sanders will officiate. Interment will be private.
