Barbara Thomas

Barbara J. Thomas, age 57, of Chambersburg, PA passed away at home on Sunday, January 19, 2014. Born May 3, 1956 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Groover Naugle and Elsie J. Stitley.
A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed shopping, going on car rides through the mountains, spending time with her grandchildren, and listening to music. She was a member of the New Franklin Assembly of God Church.

Surviving is her partner, Clyde Meck; four children Robert L. Thomas, Jr. (wife Stacey) of Fayetteville, PA, Heather L. Thomas Beck (husband Paul) of Chambersburg, PA, Karen D. Thomas Of Chambersburg, PA, and Carrie M. Starner (husband Lee) of Gettysburg, PA; twelve grandchildren; and four siblings, William K. Gilbert of Fayetteville, PA, Melvin L. Gilbert of Fayetteville, PA, Laura Lane of Shippensburg, PA, and Michael Childs of Fayetteville, PA. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her late husband Robert L. Thomas, Sr. on May 6, 1989; two grandchildren, Isaiah and Lily Beck.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 9:00 AM at the Fayetteville Pentecostal Church of God, 5276 Treher Road, Fayetteville, PA where Pastor Staci Geesaman will officiate. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
