Barrett Johnston

Barrett “Barry” Johnston, 60, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in his home. Born on June 5, 1961 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Ralph H. “Jim” Johnston and Helen L. Myers Johnston.

As a youth Barry attended and played basketball for King Street Church, and he graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He was a member of the Chambersburg Club and the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599. Barry had worked in Real Estate many years ago and he also worked as a bartender for a number of local clubs over the years. Barry loved baseball and he enjoyed the outdoors. He loved animals and could often be found feeding the birds and squirrels around his home.

He is survived by his aunts, Peggy Heck of Fayetteville, Dolores St. Clair, Peggy Shearer, Bonnie Byers, and Connie Abbott, all of Chambersburg, as well as numerous uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on what would have been his 61st birthday; Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Greene Township Park, Pavilion #3, 996 Elevator Street, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
