Bernadena L. “Bernie” Rotz Etter, 93, of Orrstown, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Orrstown Personal Care Home. Born July 21, 1922 in St. Thomas Township, she was a daughter of the late George and Valley Snurr Ehrhart.

Bernie worked seasonally at Knouse Foods in Chambersburg and also at Buttonwood Cafeteria at Letterkenny Army Depot. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orrstown. Bernie enjoyed gardening and canning.

She is survived by two children, Donald Rotz (wife Jerre), and David Rotz (wife Judy), both of Chambersburg; three step-children, Donald Etter (wife Linda) of Chambersburg, Linda Reed (husband Alan) of Greencastle, and Richard Etter (wife Pam) of Oxford, AL; three grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Evelyn Wingert of Chambersburg, Mercina Wright of Upper Strasburg, PA and Robert Ehrhart of Roxbury, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bernadena is preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Lee Rotz; her second husband, Emery Etter; and six siblings.

A funeral service to honor Bernadena’s life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
