Bernadette Sevast

Bernadette Ann Sevast, 86, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Wednesday morning, November 13, 2013 at her home. Born November 4, 1927 in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Colligan Vicchio. A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Sevast most recently worked as an Executive Assistant with Alpha Space Control. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. Her husband, Basil Sevast, preceded her in death on November 11, 1982.

She is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Arthur of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, Christopher Meighan and wife Amy of Chambersburg, Scott Sevast and wife Silvia of Southport, NC, Jeff Arthur and wife Suesan of Denver, CO, and Tracey Sevast of Southport, NC; and six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Kate, and Sammy Meighan, Brayden and Sophia Arthur, and Evan Sevast. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Basil “Bill” Sevast on July 15, 2012, and two sisters, Rita Neiman and Geraldine Kirkhoff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
