Bernard Peters

Bernard A. Peters, Jr., age 55 of Chambersburg, PA; passed away at his home on Sunday, August 5, 2012. Born in Chambersburg, PA on November 29, 1956, he was the son of Betty Coffey Peters and the late Bernard A. Peters, Sr.
Bernard worked as a custodian at King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg for over 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working around the house, and spending time with his family, especially his grandson.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Sharlie “Dumpie” Peters; his loving daughter, Amanda S. Anderson (husband Erik) of Hagerstown, MD; his cherished grandson, Asher Augusta Anderson; four siblings, Judy Harris (husband Harry), Ricky Peters, Kim Holden (husband Tom), and April Hughes; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vinney Peters and a brother, James “Buck” Peters.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the King Street United Brethren Church, 162 East King St., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Lester F. Stine and Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the above church and address.
