Bessie Tolbert

Bessie M. Tolbert, age 84, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday morning, December 28, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services. Born, June 11, 1930 in Horse Valley, St. Thomas Township, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Anna Guyer Mackey.
Bessie was raised in foster homes most of her childhood. She worked for the Swift Co. for eight years, the Corral Shoe Co. for eight years. She then started working for Chambersburg Engineer Co. in 1968 until her retirement in 1993.
A graveside service to honor Bessie’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
