Mrs. Betty F. Briggs-Blough, 85, of Waynesboro, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Quincy Village Nursing Home. Born October 31, 1935 in Burnt Cabins, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Verna G. (Locke) Briggs.
She was a graduate of Orbisonia High School with the Class of 1955. Betty was employed as a seamstress at the Stanley Company, Chambersburg, PA for a number of years.
Betty was a faithful member of the Chambersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and volunteering. She always had a special talent for helping others especially the elderly by visiting, crocheting items and just spending time with them.
She is survived by two children, Valerie Oden and her husband Sam of Kearneysville, WV and Bryan Erb and his wife Esther of Carlisle, PA; three grandsons, Jeffrey, Thomas and Bradley Erb; two granddaughters, Ashley and Jessica Hinton; a great-granddaughter Bella; a beloved sister and best friend, Patricia Knepper and her husband James of Chambersburg; an aunt, Joann Jamison and her husband Don of Fayetteville, PA; her first-husband, Paul Erb of Leesburg, VA and formerly of Blairs Mills, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her second husband, Paul David Blough; three brothers, William, Jerry and Gary Briggs; an infant brother; and an infant sister.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg.
