Betty Carbaugh

Betty J. Carbaugh, 87, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Friday morning, February 13, 2015 at the home of her daughter, Paula R. Woodal. Born February 8, 1928 in Darien, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Harry R. and Anna Mary Redcay Gilbert. A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Carbaugh was a member of the Greenvillage Church of God and its Maranatha Sunday School class. Her husband, Robert J. Carbaugh, whom she married October 26, 1974, preceded her in death on June 28, 2006.

She is survived by her children, Victor Fogelsonger and wife Carolyn of Chambersburg, John Fogelsonger, II and companion Joanne Mohler of Chambersburg, Stephen Fogelsonger of Shippensburg, Richard Fogelsonger and wife Pam of Chambersburg, Thomas Fogelsonger and wife Glenys of Wampum, Beverly McFadden of Mercersburg, Carolyn Mackey and husband Russ of Chambersburg, Paula Woodal and husband Denny of Chambersburg, and Robert Carbaugh and wife Barb of Upper Strasburg; 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Greenvillage Church of God with Rev. Matthew Tosten officiating. Interment will follow at Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Monday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
