Betty Jeanne Clowser, 90, a resident of the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the nursing home. Born February 28, 1928 in Winchester, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Nina Higgs Lamb. Mrs. Clowser was last employed by Ben’s Flower Shop in Hagerstown, MD. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed baking and cooking. Her husband, William H. Clowser, Jr., preceded her in death in 1987.
She is survived by three children, Judy Dryden and husband Jack of Annapolis, MD, Bill Clowser and wife Lauran of Hagerstown, MD, and Barbara Tritle and husband Steve of Chambersburg; six grandchildren, Leslie, Emily, Damon, Maura, Kirsten, and Abby; six great-grandchildren, Linden, Adele, Corinne,Maddie, Blake, and Hayden; her brother, Lester “Skip” Lamb of Lynchburg, VA; and three loving nieces, Lessy, Amy, and Beth.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until services begin at Noon at the funeral home.
