Betty Johns

Betty L. Johns, 86, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Thursday morning, November 21, 2013 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born March 14, 1927 in Greencastle, she was a daughter of the late Brenton S. and Olive M. Koontz Tosten. Mrs. Johns was of the Protestant faith. She had been employed at Lewrene Interiors in Chambersburg. Her husband, William E. Johns, preceded her in death on March 30, 2004.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. Reddick of Chambersburg; her son, Rodney E. Johns and wife Christine of Greencastle; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; one step-granddaughter; two step-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles H. Tosten; a sister, Helen Stahl; and her son-in-law, Freddy L. Reddick.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Minister Allen Fleagle officiating. Private interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
