Betty Poe

Betty L. Poe, 69, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, November 27, 2016 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 27, 1947 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Roy G., Sr. and V. Lois Socks Wagaman. She was employed for more than thirty years at the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg and worked for several years at Wal-Mart. Betty was a member of Fetterhoff Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved animals, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. Her husband, Raymond E. Poe, preceded her in death on December 27, 1976.

She is survived by her fiancé, Walter H. Stevick, Jr. of Chambersburg; her son, Paul D. Poe and wife Doris of Chambersburg; her daughter, Dawn M. Poe and fiancé Steve Kauffman of Chambersburg; Walter’s children Tim Stevick and Keith Stevick (wife Kelly); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother, Roy G. Wagaman, Jr. of Chambersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2016 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Trisha Brandt will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
