Beulah “Bea” Cunningham, age 81, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at home on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Born November 4, 1935 in Mercersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Corinna Cantner Welsh.
Mrs. Cunningham worked at the Franklin Learning Center as a teacher’s aide for 24 years, until her retirement in 1996. She attended Shippensburg Independent Baptist Church. A kind and generous spirit, Mrs. Cunningham enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, and baking.
Surviving are two children, Ed Cunningham of Chambersburg, PA and Sue Stull (husband Paul) of Walkersville, MD; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Sam Welsh (wife Freda) of Chambersburg, Marie Knox of Grapeview, WA, and Judy Zeis (husband Daniel) of Chambersburg, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul Cunningham in 1994, two brothers, one sister, and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Ken Waggoner will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
