Beverly L. Stepler, age 87, of Fayetteville, PA, and formerly of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 09, 2015, at the Village of Laurel Run. Born in Chebeague Island, ME on May 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ray E. Hamilton and Mildred V. Turner Hamilton.
A seamstress at the former Stanley Company, Mrs. Stepler dedicated over 32 years, retiring in 1990. She was a life member of the American Legion Post 46 Auxiliary and the VFW Post 1599 Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Martha Custis Chapter, OES #342.
Surviving are three children, Mildred E. Shields (husband David) of Marion, PA; Marlene L. Reader of Fayetteville, PA; and Samuel D. Parson, Jr. of Allentown, PA, three step – children, Sharon L. Emmons (John) of Chambersburg, PA; Carl Stepler (Paula) of Fayetteville, PA; and Brenda L. Martin (husband Ronnie) of Fayetteville, PA; eight grandchildren, twelve great - grandchildren; and four great - great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel D. Parson and second husband, Paul T. Stepler, and brother, James Hamilton.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 1 PM at the Franklin Fire Company, 158 West King St., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
