Billy Fix

Billy L. Fix, Jr., age 56, of Blairs Mills, PA, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at his home. Born September 7, 1957 he was a son of the late Billy L. Fix, Sr. and Shirley Chapman Fix.

A 1977 graduate of Southern Huntingdon High School, Billy went on to earn his B.S. in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1981. He worked as a Lead Budget Analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense at Picketinny Arsenal in New Jersey until his retirement in September 2013 after 29 years of service. Billy made Eagle Scout at the age of 18 and was the first Eagle Scout from Troop 210 in Shade Gap, PA. He also served as a Scout Master for Troop 210 for 3 years. He enjoyed hunting, golf, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Billy is survived by two siblings, Tim Fix and wife Cindy, and Julianne Umbrell and husband Kirk both of Fannettsburg, PA; nine nieces and nephews, Jessica Crouse of Ft. Loudon, Cody Crouse of Dry Run, Jessica Jones and husband Brooks of Chambersburg, Joel Umbrell of Chambersburg, Nikki Burdge and husband Mark of Amberson, Brandy McClure and husband Chad of Ft. Loudon, Stacy Wolf and husband Steve of Willow Hill, Keri Daniel and husband Cole of Willow Hill, and Tiffany Fix of Fannettsburg; and fourteen great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Nossville United Methodist Church, 19852 Tuscarora Creek Rd. Blairs Mills, PA 17213. Rev. Vicki Jordan will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Nossville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA 17220, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Nossville United Methodist Church at the above address.
