Blair A. Clark, 87, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday morning, December 31, 2021. Born November 20, 1934 in Menchtown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Alice L. Dickens Clark.
Blair was a 1954 graduate of Everett High School. A US Air Force veteran, he served honorably during the Korean War. Blair was employed as an electronics supervisor at Letterkenny Army Depot until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of King Street Church in Chambersburg. Blair enjoyed wood carving and was once named the Ward Foundation Wood Carvers World Champion. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and in his younger years, horseback riding.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Clark, whom he married on December 25, 1954; two children, Gregory A. Clark (Sandy) of Merritt Island, FL, Kimberly A. Sleichter (Richard) of South Mountain; five grandchildren, Jason Sleichter (Penny) of Hampton, VA, Amy Cramer (B.J.) of Fayetteville, PA, Megan Bonner (Josh) of Fredericksburg, VA, Amanda Carey (Logan) of Shippensburg, PA, and Molly Clark (Renee Duvall) of Fayetteville, NC; and nine great grandchildren, Luke, Lucy, Jacob, Brandon, Katie, Lucien, Torren, Ainsley and Laikyn. In addition to his parents, Blair was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at King Street Church, 162 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Ronald Cook will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens where the VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard will provide military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
