Bonnie Carbaugh

June 14, 1941 — September 25, 2013

Bonnie L. Carbaugh, 72, of Orrstown, passed away on September 25, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 14, 1941 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Ray W. and Hilda L. Shaffer Fickes. Her husband of 51 years, Harry L. Carbaugh, preceded her in death on January 27, 2011. Bonnie lived to take care of her family. She enjoyed watching wildlife, reading, camping, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Ehrhart and companion Bob Ehrhart of Fayetteville; her son, Brian Carbaugh of Fayetteville; her granddaughter, Lorie Ehrhart of Orrstown; great-grandchildren Quiznell Perry, Jr., and Jacob Xavier Perry; step-grandchildren Deana Ehrhart and Jesse Ehrhart; step-great-grandson, Brody Heck; siblings, Darlene Hippensteel of Mainsville, Larry Fickes of Fayetteville, and Rick Fickes of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie is preceded in death by¬¬¬¬¬ six brothers, Ray, Jay, Garnet, Roger, Ted and Mike Fickes; and two sisters, Ilo Johnson and Penny Fickes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, September 30, 2013 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202, where Pastor Stacey Geesaman will officiate. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
