Bonnie Rosenbaum

August 29, 1940 — June 29, 2013

Bonnie L. Rosenbaum, age 72, of Chambersburg, PA, went peacefully to be with The Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Shook Home. Born August 29, 1940 in Windber, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna Fisher Boyle. She was the widow of Phillip I. Rosenbaum, who preceded her in death on July 23, 1983.
In addition to being a homemaker, Bonnie worked in the Alumni office at Wilson College and at Meridian Bank. She was also employed as a Librarian for the Chambersburg Area School District. Her many interests included pottery, reading, traveling and doing crafts, but her favorite pastime was watching her grandchildren play sports. Many may also remember her as a local founder of the “Tough Love” and “Contact” hotline help programs.
Surviving are two sons, Christopher P. Rosenbaum (wife, Yvonne) of Reading, PA and Scott F. Rosenbaum (wife, April) of Chambersburg; one daughter, Brenda Yohe; six grandchildren, Patrick, Sean, Aimee, Alexander, and Austin Rosenbaum and Bridget Terrel; and two great grandchildren, Hagen and Chloe. She is also survived by two brothers, John Boyle Jr. and Art Boyle, and a sister, Claudia Ruiz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of The Visitation Roman Catholic Church, 305 N. Prince St., Shippensburg, PA, with Rev. Fr. David A. Hillier officiating. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, and also one hour prior to the Mass in the Church on Tuesday.
