Bradley Hobble

May 19, 1954 — August 22, 2016

Bradley E. Hobble, 62, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Monday afternoon, August 22, 2016 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. Born May 19, 1954 in Doylesburg, he was the son of the late John and Hazel Hockenberry Hobble. A graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School, he was employed at Knouse Foods in Chambersburg, retiring after thirty-eight years of service. He attended Shady Pine Mennonite Church. Brad had a great love for animals and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and early in his life played baseball. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Weaver Hobble, whom he married June 18, 1975; his daughter, Jennifer Barnes and husband Lyle of Chambersburg; two sisters, Maxine Beatty of Chambersburg and Lois Shearer and husband Carey of Fayetteville; four nieces; and four nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, LaVonda Gerner.

A service to celebrate Brad’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Pond Bank Community Church, 6555 Duffield Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil will officiate. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church.

The family suggests that memorial contributions in his memory be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
