Brandon Sewell

Brandon Ravel Sewell, 21, of Greencastle, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. Born October 12, 1997 in Chambersburg, he was the son of Anthony and Gwendolyn Thompson Sewell.

Brandon was a 2016 graduate of CASHS. He was currently a student at the University of Florida in his Junior year, majoring in economics. He was a member of St. James African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Chambersburg. Brandon was also a member of the kickboxing club at the University of Florida. He enjoyed martial arts, the outdoors, fishing, playing basketball, reading and drawing. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Brandon is survived by two siblings, Jasmine and Tye Sewell of Frederick, MD; paternal grandmother, Bernice Sewell of Frederick, MD; maternal grandmother, Cora Thompson of Chambersburg; paternal uncles and aunts, Lynn Sewell and wife V’Layne, Terry Sewell (Linda Crew), Jackie Ambush and husband Stanley, and Leda Harris and husband James; maternal uncles, Edward Thompson, Jr., Derrick Thompson, and maternal aunt, Torey Thompson (Clifford Kelly); his beloved cousin, Cirsten Kelly, and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Sewell III; and maternal grandfather, Edward Thompson, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2018, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Roger Wilmer and Rev. Cheryl Wilmer will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, December 28, 2018 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
