Brenda Spoonhour, 53, of Chambersburg, PA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon, June 17th, 2014. Born July 1, 1960 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Ivy Bennett Spoonhour. She was a 1978 graduate of the James Buchanan High School, where she pitched for the school softball team. Brenda was employed throughout her lifetime as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Last employed at Quincy Home, she had also worked at The Village of Laurel Run and at Shook Home. She was a member of Moose Lodge 842 in Chambersburg and a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Brenda is survived by her companion of 10 years, Howard “Robbie” Robison; three children, Melanie Mueller and husband David of New Orleans, LA, Joseph Hoover of Chambersburg, and Joshua Boyer of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Ella Rene Hoover, Ian Michael Hoover, Braylon Mueller, and Priscilla Freelove Mueller; and four sisters, Lorraine Bittinger and Billie West of Shippensburg, Sharlene Norton of Ft. Loudon, and Barbara Spoonhour of CA.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Paul B. Baker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
