Brian C. Geissler, 72, of Chambersburg, died on Sunday, June 9, 2013, in Chambersburg Hospital. Born on February 2, 1941, in Australia, he was the son of the late Charles H. Locke and Muriel S. Newlind Locke Geissler. After his father’s death at an early age, Brian’s mother remarried George Geissler, who adopted him.
Brian was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy. Following his tenure in the Navy, he completed his studies for his Bachelor’s degrees from Shippensburg University, the first in Electronics Engineering Technology in 1978 and the second in Business Administration in 1982. Brian spent more than 20 years working at Letterkenny Army Depot in Electronics, retiring from that position in 1990. Never one to sit idly by, he ran a contracting business from 1990-1998, worked at Jerr-Dan from 1998-2001, and until recently Schreiber Cheese Products in the maintenance department.
Brian is survived by his wife Faye Vinson Geissler, 3 daughters, a son, grandchildren, a brother and a sister.
At his request, there will be no formal service. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
