Brian Truett

Brian R. Truett, 44, of Colorado Springs, CO, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 3, 2015 at his home. Born February 7, 1971 in Cherry Point, NC, he was a son of Richard Truett (wife Susan Truett) of Fayetteville, and Phyllis Monn Hart (husband Loren “Buzz” Hart) of Chambersburg. A 1989 graduate of CASHS, Brian was employed as a welder in Colorado Springs. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, and tying his own flies. Brian was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to his parents and step-parents, he is survived by his special companion, Lisa Dotson of Colorado Springs, CO; his special friend, Shawn Ray of Denver, CO; two sisters, Michelle Hoover and husband Kenneth of Fayetteville and Barbara Snively and husband Richard, II of Chambersburg; a brother, Richard Truett, Jr. of Fayetteville; two step-brothers, W. Ryan Saylor and wife Renee of Chambersburg and Wade P. Saylor and wife Kelly of Shippensburg; his Paternal Grandmother, Marion E. Truett of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Wilbur R. Truett, Jr. and his Maternal Grandparents, Robert and Kate Monn.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2015 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Pastor Diane Young officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-12:00PM Saturday at the funeral home.
