Bridget M. Jansen, 59, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Born in Appleton, WI, Bridget was a retiree of Highmark, Blue Shield in Camp Hill, PA and volunteered at the Highmark Caring Place for Grieving Children in Lemoyne, PA.
She is survived by her parents, Mark and Margaret “Sally” Jansen, Fayetteville, PA; two sisters and four brothers, Toni M. Jansen, Norristown, PA, Mark L. Jansen (Linda), Fayetteville, PA, Guy M. Jansen, Orrtanna, PA, Peter M. Jansen (Edith), Richmond, IN, Arnold P. Jansen (Laura), Ft. Loudon, PA, and Mary I. Wilson (Anthony), Fayetteville, PA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, Matthew M. Jansen (Michelle) and their children Gabriel, Alexandra, Elizabeth, and Samuel, Greencastle, PA, Patrick D.G. Jansen (Tamyra) and their children Benjamin and Daniel, Greencastle, PA, Shayna M. Jansen and Jessica R. Weitry, Fayetteville, PA, Melissa A. Jansen, Waukesha, WI, Guy A. Jansen, West Allis, WI, Nicholas A. Jansen (her Godson), Killeen, TX, Scott E. Jansen (Michelle) and their children Wyatt, Dylan, and Ryan, Delta, PA, John M. Jansen (Jennifer), son Dexter, Mercersburg, PA, Eric A. Jansen and Sarah V. Jansen, Ft. Loudon, PA, Elizabeth S., Andrew G., and Jared M. Wilson (her Godson), all Fayetteville, PA. Other surviving family members include two aunts and one uncle; Lois Simon (her Godmother), Combined Locks, WI, and Marvin and Ione Jansen, Kimberly, WI, along with numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Peter and Margaret Jansen and Thurston “Bud” and Florence Lambie, all of Wisconsin; her sister-in-law, Sheree B. Jansen, Greencastle, PA, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Bridget enjoyed reading, watching movies, playing Books and Runs, swimming, knitting, and going on picnics. She was a lifetime Green Bay Packer Fan! Her cat, Calico, gave her much pleasure in the past. She loved being with her friends for great parties and dinners, cherishing every minute of their company.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James R. O’Brien at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. There will be no viewing. Interment will be private.
A Celebration of Bridget’s Life will be held immediately following the service and all are welcome to attend.
