Bruce Poe

Bruce Albert Poe, age 74, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at his home. Born December 15, 1946 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Irvin L. Poe, Sr., and Margaret Myers Poe, and the widower of the late Diane George Poe, who passed away in 2015.

A U.S. Army veteran, Bruce worked as a crane operator and mechanic for Kelly Roofing in Chambersburg for 25 years before retiring. He always put his family first. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and his dog, Chase. He loved traveling and going on vacations with his family, including his great nephew, Aaron. He had a big heart that matched his smile. He enjoyed fixing things around the house and collecting antiques and tools.

Surviving are his children, Stephanie Yost (husband Todd) of Clear Spring, MD, Stacie Sweger (husband John), of Marion, PA, and Ryan Poe of Chambersburg, PA; his niece, Pauline Delgado (husband Armando), whom he considered one of his daughters; 6 grandchildren, Deana, T.J., Danielle, Lily, Salome, and Joana; siblings, Irvin Poe, Jr., and Lorraine Kiessling; nephew, Brian Poe, and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Poe.

Private funeral services are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Chambersburg. Graveside services will be held at Fetterhoff Chapel Cemetery at approximately 11:15AM on Monday, December 28, 2020. Rev. Mary Clever-Douglas will officiate. Military honors will be rendered at the graveside by members of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
