Carene VanScyoc

Carene M. VanScyoc, age 76, of Fayetteville, PA and Jackson, CA, passed away on May 15, 2014 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 16, 1937, in Corcordia, MO, she was the daughter of the late Erna Greisel.
Mrs. VanScyoc enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, crocheting, and reading. She was a teacher most of her professional career, retiring in 1989, after 18 years of service.
Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Merle F. VanScyoc, whom she married on October 31, 1955; her children, Victoria Jean VanScyoc (Mark) of California, Fred VanScyoc (Belinda) of California, and Chet VanScyoc (Terrie) of California; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
