Carl Grove

Carl E. Grove, 82, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Saturday evening, December 22, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Chambersburg. Born August 30, 1936 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Paul and Ruth Shuman Grove. A 1954 graduate of the Chambersburg High School, he was employed as a purchaser at Knouse Foods, retiring after 30 years. Earlier in his life he had worked at Landis Tool in Waynesboro and for the Borough of Chambersburg. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His wife, Dona Nuckels Grove, whom he married March 27, 1955, preceded him in death on November 17, 2013.

He is survived by his daughter, Carla Carroll (David, Sr.); grandchildren Kylene Leeper and David Carroll, Jr.; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Donald E. Grove on March 5, 2018, and two sisters, Helen Snyder and Hilda Whitaker.

Services entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA will be private.
