Carol L. Lavery, 79, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at her home. Born November 20, 1943 in New Kensington, PA, she was a daughter of the late James Harvey and Flora Chiff Logan.
She was a graduate of New Kensington High School and attended Robert Morris University. Mrs. Lavery was employed at the Ingram Book Company and later retired after many years with the Maryland Department of Human Services. She was a member of the Quilting Club at Penn National and the Red Hat Society. Her husband, Kenneth W. Lavery, whom she married September 8, 1964, preceded her in death on January 28, 2023.
She is survived two children, Bruce Lavery and his wife Stacy of Severn, MD and Amy Slack and her husband Dave of Tappahannock, VA; four grandchildren, Parker Slack, Rachel Lavery, Mary-Stuart Slack, and Ally Lavery; and her sister, Marjorie Mascari.
Services will be private.
