Carole Moore

Carole A. Moore, 74, of Chambersburg, PA died unexpectedly on Friday, February 15, 2013 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born on July 1, 1938 in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Stefnik Byrnes.

An elementary school teacher in her younger years, Carole received her Bachelor’s Degree from William Patterson University in Wayne, NJ. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Verona, NJ.
Carole is survived by a daughter Susan Mayer (Mrs. Mark) of Chambersburg and 2 granddaughters Molly Mayer and Katherine Healey. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James P. Moore III, on July 5, 1996 and a daughter Janelyn Moore on Oct. 5, 2007.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 32 Lakeside Ave., Verona, NJ 07044. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Tuesday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and from 7-9 on Wednesday PM at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, NJ 07009.
