Carolyn Shatzer

Carolyn L. Shatzer, 77, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 21, 1946 in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Brady Leroy and Helen Louise Clever Carbaugh. Early in her life she was employed at the former Stanley Company and later went to work at the former Nibble with Gibbles, Inc. She retired from Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe. Carolyn enjoyed collecting baby dolls and knick-knacks.

She is survived by her son, Brady “Beau” Shatzer and fiancé Paula of Chambersburg; two brothers, Brady “June” Carbaugh and Dennis “Denny” Carbaugh and wife Deb, all of Greencastle; four grandchildren, Cristen Butler, Amber Shatzer, Leigha Thompson, and Cody Hunt; and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Mowen and Faye Sprenkle; and three brothers, Thomas, Amos, and Richard Carbaugh.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 27, 2023 at Montgomery Brethren In Christ Church Cemetery. Rev. Japeth Nell will officiate.
