Catherine Kurtz

Catherine V. Kurtz, age 92, of Peachtree Corners, GA and formerly of Chambersburg, PA, passed away in the Gwinnett Medical Center, Duluth, GA on May 2, 2013. Born May 15, 1920 in Guilford Springs, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary Elizabeth Sellers Sleighter.
Mrs. Kurtz worked in the General Supply Storage Division of Letterkenny Army Depot for 23 years; where she retired in 1974. She is survived by two children, Larry Kurtz (wife Bernadette) of Conway, SC and Marsha Wallace (husband Ralph) of Peachtree Corners, GA, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and four siblings, Garnet Sleighter of Waynesboro, PA; Edna Monn of Waynesboro, PA; Mildred Kramer of Chambersburg, PA; and Dorothy McCleary of Greenvillage, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Abram Miller Kurtz in 1993 and one brother and three sisters.
A Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.
