Catherine Lehman

Catherine Elizabeth Lehman, 95, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Menno Haven. Born July 12, 1925 in Letterkenny Township, she was a daughter of the late Harry L. and Mary Brackbill Burkholder. Her beloved husband, Marlin D. Lehman, preceded her in death on November 13, 1996. Catherine was a dedicated wife and mother, a pastor’s wife and spent most of her life making a home for her family. She was a member of Pond Bank Community Church. She enjoyed needlework and spending time with her family.

She is survived by five daughters, C. Louise Ervin (husband Gary) of Chambersburg, Nancy E. Kuhns (husband Jay) of Chambersburg, Wilma J. Wadel (husband Ray) of Chambersburg, Darlene K. Detweiler (husband David) of Orrstown, and Brenda S. Eby (husband Dwayne) of Chambersburg; ten grandchildren, Marci, Lori, Jared, Neil, Patti, Chad, Gillian, Dirk, Kristen and Seth; 28 great grandchildren; her sister Anna Musser of Chambersburg; and her “fresh air daughter”, Mary Farrell of Apopka, FL. In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was preceded in death by her son, Marlin Lee Lehman and her sister, M. Naomi Lehman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Chambersburg Mennonite Church, 1800 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Jeremy Lehman will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Chambersburg Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. The service will be livestreamed on Chambersburg Mennonite Church Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pond Bank Community Church, 6555 Duffield Road, Chambersburg 17202.
