Chalmers Fetterhoff

Chalmers E. “Gene” Fetterhoff, 79, of Chambersburg, went home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2024. Born October 18, 1944 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Chalmers P. Fetterhoff and Velma Deck. His beloved wife, Janet D. Fetterhoff, preceded him in death on May 26, 2020.

A US Army veteran, Chalmers served honorably in the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Reclamation Technician at Letterkenny Army Depot for 25 years until his retirement. Chalmers was a member of St. James United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Mesaros (husband John Marc) of Baltimore, MD; and two step-brothers, Timothy J. Fetterhoff of Greencastle and Jeffrey W. Fetterhoff of Boca Raton, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 8, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Murray Stevens will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Upper Path Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. James United Brethren Church, 2398 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
