Charles E. Kline, Jr., Age 84, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Village of Laurel Run. Born March 22, 1932, in York, PA, he was the son of the late Charles E. Kline, Sr. and Edna Sprenkle Kline.
Mr. Kline was a 1950 graduate of William Penn High School. Mr. Kline served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner and operator of Acorn Electric Supply Company. He was life member of the Legion Post 46, VFW Post 1599, OWLS Club, Moose Lodge, Elks Club, 13th Ward Club. Mr. Kline was also a Rotarian for 48 years, with perfect attendance; he was also a Paul Harris Fellow, He enjoyed gaming, bird watching, eating crabs, Hoss’s, and Story Telling.
Surviving are three children, Pam Kirkpatrick (husband Dana) of Dover, PA, Steve Kline (wife Nancy) of Berlin, MD, and Scott Kline (wife Jennifer) of Gaithersburg, MD; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marian Leonard Kline.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where The Rev. Dr. William Harter, Pastor Emeritus of The Presbyterian Church of the Falling Spring will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Rose Cemetery, York, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Franklin/Fulton Unit, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
